Iowa's Best Blood Drive

Hala, saying she feels it’s her civic duty to give blood, was one of dozens who came out for Iowa’s Best Blood Drive sponsored by The Blood Center of Iowa, KIX101, JCPenney, Kwik Star and Marshall Town Center.  
 
 
KIX101 morning radio personalities Jamie Reid and Todd Collins broadcast live from center court at Marshall Town Center Friday, May 21, 2010 for Iowa’s Best Blood Drive. The appearance marked Reid’s last day with the radio station. KIX101 was a sponsor for the blood drive calling on local residents to join in on giving the gift of life. The Blood Center of Iowa, JCPenney, Kwik Star and Marshall Town Center were also sponsors.
 
 
National Pretzel Day

The company honored the commemorative national pretzel day by offering a free pretzel to any customer who sang. Anderson and Thompson said they stop at Pretzelmaker daily for a mocha mania blended drink and snack.

Marshall Town Center is a great place to get your exercise when the Iowa weather turns cold or becomes too hot and muggy. Four times around the center of the mall equals one mile. The mall opens for mall walking at 8 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.
